We are announcing the return of the first Illinois straight single malt rye whiskey: North American Steamship Rye™ two-year-old. It was available again starting this past week at the distillery Speakeasy and Retail Shop. N.A.S.R. straight is handmade at our distillery from the 100% rye malt that was used for other versions of this whiskey, but aged in a full-size (53 gallon) new char-5 oak barrel for two years and bottled at 87 proof. This is currently our youngest available version of this whiskey, having sold out of our “small cask” one-year-old version recently. The retail price is $56 for a 750ml bottle, available at the distillery Retail Shop or through our distributor Burke Beverage in Illinois.
